Video Lottery Operator Contact Information Form |
Beginning March 15, Video Lottery Operators will be required to submit the Video Lottery Operator Contact Information form before beginning operations with a video lottery establishment.
The form contains information necessary to begin the process with Light & Wonder regarding site equipment. If this form is not completed during the licensing process, it could cause delays in beginning operations.
The Video Lottery Operator Contact information form will replace the Video Lottery Establishment Contact information for that is currently used. The new form will be able to be accessed from https://lottery.sd.gov/retailers/video-lottery-licensees/. As a reminder, Light & Wonder will complete installation of your equipment within two weeks of licensing. |

| The Lottery has received reports of smoking taking place at video lottery establishments. Smoking in any public place or place of employment is a violation of SDCL 34-46-14.
Video lottery terminals may not be placed in a tobacco retail store. SDCL 42-7A and the Lottery's administrative rules state that only businesses with an alcohol beverage license may have video lottery terminals and that video lottery terminals may only be placed in the specific area of the licensed establishment where alcoholic beverages are regularly dispensed and consumed in the ordinary and usual course of business. SDCL 34-46-19 specifically prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises of a tobacco retail store.
Placing a video lottery terminal in a retail tobacco store may subject your lottery license to denial, revocation or suspension by the Lottery Commission. In addition, the licensee may be subject to a fine of up to $10,000 for the first offense and up to $15,000 for subsequent offenses. |
